Introductory River-based Rescue

For 2025 no rescue specific schools will be offered. Our rescue courses will return in 2026.

The course starts with an introduction into the world of whitewater rescue. We will advance into rescue theory and history, gear and equipment, techniques and skill-sets, very hands-on and active throughout. The focus is all based on experiential learning and active scenarios. Guides and agency professionals should check out our Advanced River Rescue class.

Course Includes

The cost of this 4 day course is $500.00. This includes travel, instructors, instructions, literature, all boating, rescue equipment.

Certificate of Completion

A Certification of completion is provided and class size is limited. We will also assist those interested in finding work as river guides for the upcoming rafting season, either with High Country Expeditions or one of our many partner Outfitters in the Northwest.
