Which Lower Klamath trip is right for you?

The 2-day Lower Klamath trip is a great first overnight for families, first-timers, and groups who want the fun of river camping without the bigger time commitment of a longer trip. Warm water, splashy rapids, sandy beaches, optional inflatable kayaks, and a night under the stars make this one of the easiest and most rewarding ways to step into multi-day rafting.

The 3-day trip is ideal for guests who want more time on the river, more camp time, and a more relaxed Lower Klamath experience with extra room for hiking, swimming, and exploring.

Why choose the 2-Day trip?

The 2-day Lower Klamath trip is the perfect ‘first overnight’ for families and groups who want the magic of river camping without taking extra days off work or school.

You’ll still get great whitewater fun, warm swims, and a comfortable camp night under the stars. With  our guides handling the cooking and logistics

Sample 2-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1 – Meet, launch, and camp

  • Meet near Happy Camp for orientation and a safety talk, then launch into fun Class II-III+ rafting.
  • Lunch on the river, swim stops, and optional inflatable kayaking on suitable sections.
  • Arrive at camp for dinner, beach time, and a night under the stars.
  1. Day 2 – Morning float and take-out

  • Breakfast at camp, then a scenic float with more rapids and swim stops.
  • Final riverside lunch and take-out, then shuttle/return logistics.

What’s Included / What to Bring

  • Swimsuit and quick-dry river layers
  • Secure water shoes (no flip flops)
  • Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses with strap)
  • Warm layer for evenings
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Personal items and any medications
  • Sleeping bag / pillow if not provided (confirm in your trip details email)

Where does the 2-Day trip differ from the 3-Day?
