Reservations & Payments
These booking and cancellation policies apply to rafting trips on the McKenzie River, Deschutes River, Owyhee River, and Klamath River and Cal-Salmon. Secure your spot on the river, we require a 50% deposit or a credit card on file at the time of booking, unless otherwise noted. Groups of 12+: Full payment is due 48 days prior to your trip date. Accepted payments: Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Confirmation: After booking, we will send confirmation and any additional details you request. Last-minute trips: If you are booking within 24-48 hours, please call 541-822-8288 so we can confirm availability and details. Prices are subject to change without notice. |

Full and Half-Day River Trips
30+ days before your trip: Full refund of your deposit/payment. 3-29 days before your trip: A $25 reservation fee is retained; the remaining balance is promptly credited back to your card. 48 hours or less before your trip: Non-refundable. Logistics and staffing are already finalized. Rescheduling: We are happy to move your trip to a later date within the season when space allows. Note: Once your trip has been rescheduled, refunds are not provided. |
Multi-Day River Trips, Schools & Courses
These excursions require extensive logistical planning, including permits, food, guide assignments, and vehicles. 30+ days before start: 50% charge of the total cost. 11-14 days before start: 75% charge of the total cost. 10 days or less before start: Non-refundable. |
Large Groups (20+)
| You may finalize your group size up to one week prior to the trip without penalty. |
If High Country Expeditions Cancels
Safety comes first. We reserve the right to cancel or change any excursion due to unsafe water conditions, poor weather, or other circumstances beyond our control. If we must cancel, you may choose to reschedule or we will promptly refund your deposit/payment in full. |

What happens if I need to cancel a day trip?
| If you cancel 30+ days in advance, you receive a full refund. If you cancel 3-29 days in advance, we retain a $25 reservation fee and refund the rest. If you cancel 48 hours or less before your trip, the trip is non-refundable. |

| Multi-day trips and courses require more preparation. Cancellations 30+ days out incur a 50% charge, cancellations 11-14 days out incur a 75% charge, and cancellations 10 days or less before the start date are non-refundable. |
What if river conditions are not safe?
| If High Country Expeditions cancels due to conditions, you may reschedule or receive a full refund of the deposit/payment made to High Country Expeditions. |
