All trips meet at our kiosk at the Christian church in McKenzie Bridge. Full meeting details will be emailed to you after booking.

Guests staying at Belknap can still request a custom pickup at Belknap Resort. This must be arranged in advance at the time of booking.

Paddling Gear

If you requested wetsuits or booties at the time of booking, please contact us at least 24 hours prior to your trip with sizes for all guests, including height, weight, and shoe size. You may also email us at info@highcountryexpeditions.com. Please include your trip date and the name the reservation is under.

Driving Directions

From Eugene / Springfield / I-5 to McKenzie Bridge
Take I-105 East until you reach the second stoplight, a major intersection where I-105 meets Highway 126. Move into the left lane and turn left onto Highway 126, following signs for the McKenzie River Recreation Area. Continue on Highway 126 for approximately 50 miles. Once you enter McKenzie Bridge, the speed limit will change to 45 mph.

From Bend / Sisters / Redmond to McKenzie Bridge
Travel west on Highway 20 over Santiam Pass, following signs for Eugene and Springfield. Turn left onto Highway 20, then left again onto Highway 126. These turns are well marked. Once on Highway 126, follow the mile markers, which begin at mile 1 where Highway 126 starts. You will pass the Highway 242 junction and then the U.S. Forest Service ranger station.

Caution: This is an extremely winding road and is not recommended for motorhomes or travel trailers.
